Smt. Simran Godhwani is an accomplished Kathak Dance exponent from Bangalore. She runs the Kathak dance school, Krshala Dance Theatre. She has given remarkable performances at several prestigious dance festival in India and across globe. Also, she has trained students and conducted various workshop in India, US, France, Dubai and Greece. As well as various lecture demonstration on Kathak conducted by her in many leading schools across India, USA and corporate. She is known for creative style of choreography, which is unique, original yet true to its roots. She is perfectionist who instills a dedication amongst her students to understand the vocabulary of the expression required, on every composition. Her commitment and discipline reflect in her knowledge and dedication to the dance form.
A passionate Kathak dancer, having the professional training and certified in Kathak dance. Harini Kendey was trained under Smt. Simran Godhwani, the renowned Kathak dancer and the disciple of Shri Murari Sharan Gupta who is disciple of Pt. Birju Maharaj. She had travelled places across India have performed at various events and also in US she performed by representing India with her Guru.
She is known for her graceful movements and authentic expression that have won the admiration of many. She also handles corporate initiative, a place for all Classical dance form to collaborate and exchange the knowledge of Indian classical dance. This has given opportunities for many to perform in corporate events on showcasing rich Indian classical dance culture.
5th generation of her family, late Sri. K.S. Nannuswamy Bagavadhar (~1890) is a founder of Kendey Sourashtra Primary School at Madurai, TamilNadu known as Kenden Poldam which is a 130 yrs old.
